Texas Armadillo Keychain

Metal keychain with the words "Only in Texas". Have you ever heard the old wives tale about armadillos jumping straight up sometimes when they are startled? Well, one day my wife and I were walking in the woods behind our house in North Texas with our Great Dane. It really was a Great Dane, but I would have told you it was a Great Dane even if it had been a weiner dog. Anyway we came up on this armadillo rooting around in the grass. Well my dog charged after that rascal and caught it not paying attention. When she got right up on it, that armadillo jumped about 3' in the air. It was such a surprise that it was able to escape while my dog was trying to regain her composure. So I am here to testify that an armadillo really will jump straight up sometimes when they are scared.
